Listing Description:
This is a 1923 T-bucket replica professionally assembled in 2003 by Total Performance in Wallingford, Connecticut. As the original owners we have put only 4247 miles on the vehicle and we have all the receipts for the over $35,000.00 we have invested in it. This is an extremely fun car to drive and to ride in. The car tracks straight on the highway and cruises easily at any speed. Because we have not been able to drive it in a few years, due to our expanding family, the car may need a tune-up but mechanically is in good condition. At the 2003 Eastern Connecticut Auto Show, the car was awarded 3rd place in the \\\"Wild Custom (Pro Street) thru 1978\\\" catagory. We also won Top Ten awards at the 2003 and 2004 Model T Nationals hosted by Total Performance at the NSRA Nationals in Worcester, MA. This event usually has a showing of 30 to 35 T-buckets.
The exterior is black with lots of chrome accents. The interior is black with grey seats and features a fiberglass, bucket-style seat insert. It is equipped with Classic gauges and a billet aluminum steering wheel (the original steering wheel will be included). There is also a fire extinguisher located on the floor beneath the drivers legs. The turn signals are built into the side mirrors. Currently, the windshield is mounted with upright posts, but included are layback posts. It is equipped safety wire throughout.
The small-block chevy is bored .040 over with an Edelbrock EPS Performer intake and an Edelbrock Performer carb topped with a polished aluminum Mooneyes air filter. The Z28 heads are milled, ported, and polished with bigger valves. The pulleys are aluminum, the rockers are aluminum roller tip, and the oil pan is finned aluminum. The vehicle has an 8 inch Ford rearend with 2.79 gears. The transmission is a TH 400. The exhaust pipes are muffled, but included are straight pipes. Mooneyes Sprint-style polished cast aluminum valve covers will be included as well as the black tie-rod originally installed at manufacture.
The front brakes are disc, the rears are drum. The wheels are steel, powdercoated black with baby moon hubcaps. The rear deck houses aten gallon fuel tank. And the license plate is actually hidden on a vacuum-activated mount.
The damaged fiberglass fender will not be repaired prior to sale, however, the vehicle will be detailed before it is turned over to its new owner.
